The Warbirds Squadron is Casper’s energetic and passionate group of awesome people who are dedicated to keeping the crowd lively and spirited. They entertain at all home games with flags, signs, and engaging activities, ensuring our arena is the most spirited place to be.
Beyond the rink, the Warbirds Squadron serves as brand ambassadors in the community, attending watch parties, team events, and other local gatherings. They are committed to creating connections, promoting the game, and showcasing what it means to be bold, authentic, and fun. Throughout the season, the Squadron will also visit the children's hospital, raise support for various causes, and educate the public about the importance of community and teamwork.
The Casper Warbirds are accepting applications for the 2024-25 Warbirds Squadron and are looking for hard working and reliable brand ambassadors to join its entertainment department and work all home Warbirds games and outside appearances as necessary.

AUDITION DETAILS:
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
All parts of the audition process will be closed to the public.
Please arrive dressed in athletic gear, polished and professional look encouraged.
All candidates must be available in person for all portions of the interview process.
All candidates must formally apply for the job through the online posting, completely fill out the application and provide a resume with two references to be eligible for the in-person auditions.
Applicants must sign a liability waiver and release provided on the first day of audition.

What does the Casper Warbirds Squadron do?
- The Warbirds Squadron will focus on assisting and executing in-game promotional activities and entertainment with an emphasis on personal touchpoints with fans. Duties include, but are not limited to, working closely with the VP of Operations, escorting people on and off the ice, selecting contestants, set up and tear down of equipment, execution of on-ice games, flag waving and sign holding, rolling and tossing t-shirts, staffing concourse activations and fan engagement. Warbirds Squadron members must possess the personality to strike up and carry-on conversations with fans of all ages. Additionally, the Warbirds Squadron will be available for outside appearances, including watch parties and team events.
Are Squadron members paid?
- Yes, Warbirds Squadron members will be paid an hourly rate for all games and appearances.
Is being a member of the Warbirds Squadron a full-time job?
- No, many Warbirds Squadron members will have other jobs or attend school full time.
Do I have to know how to ice skate for this position?
- Skating experience is not required to audition for the team. However, if a Warbirds Squadron member is to help with on-ice games, in their own hockey skates, then a strong skating ability will need to be demonstrated prior to the start of the season.
Is there an encouraged dress code for tryouts?
- Yes, athletic pants, shirts and shoes are required for the first day of auditions (no jeans please). Professional grooming and a well-put-together appearance is highly suggested. For the additional interview rounds, professional dress is required.
What should I expect from the audition process?
- Auditions for the Warbirds Squadron are hands on and fun, the perfect opportunity to show the judges your personality, excitement and enthusiasm for the role and the team. You will take part in a variety of off ice activities including improv, game day training and breakout interviews. Candidates will be required to attend an individual panel interview in the final stages of the process.
What will the Warbirds Squadron candidate be judged on?
- Our ideal candidate will be judged on city & team knowledge, personality and enthusiasm for the city, team and entertainment along with their willingness to perform promotional tasks during the game. It is expected that Warbirds Squadron members can stand for long periods of time, tolerate loud music, bright lights and flashes in an arena setting, can lift boxes, carpets and promotional materials and at times be required to move across ice surfaces.
What is the time commitment of the Warbirds Squadron?
- Warbirds Squadron will be expected to be available for 90% of all Casper Warbirds home games with at least a two-hour prior to puck drop call time and stay throughout the game conclusion, including preseason games and all playoff games. The typical regular season of the Warbirds Squadron runs from September to March. Warbirds Squadron members will also be available to work additional appearances and events throughout the season.
Will uniforms be provided for the Warbirds Squadron and what will they look like for the season?
- Yes, everything except for skates will be provided by the Casper Warbirds for use by the Warbirds Squadron members but must be returned at the conclusion of the season. Warbirds Squadron members sport athletic looking uniforms that help them stand out in the crowd but compliment the team’s jerseys for a cohesive and defining look.
